Heather Morris
Heather Morris, a New Zealand native now residing in Australia, spent years in a Melbourne hospital, studying and writing screenplays. One of her scripts was optioned by an Academy Award–winning screenwriter in the United States. In 2003, she met Lale Sokolov, an elderly gentleman with a compelling story. Their friendship grew, and Lale entrusted the intimate details of his Holocaust experience to her. Initially crafted as a screenplay, Lale’s story, ranked high in international competitions, later transformed into her debut novel, “The Tattooist of Auschwitz.”
